Elves’ Cheat Codes
For this kid, it was a Walmart receipt that was the telltale sign Santa wasn’t real. Clearly, Santa and his elves didn’t shop at Walmart! His parents, on the other hand, probably did all their shopping at the local Walmart… so the conclusion was pretty obvious. There was no Santa and no elves.
I appreciate his parents trying to cover up for their mistake, though. “Elves can’t make everything” is a pretty original excuse. Most parents would probably just accept that the jig was up and admit they were the ones who bought the presents. They’re not wrong, either; elves can’t make a Nintendo Wii from scratch!
